Kathmandu, April 22, 2025 — The Nepal Skating and Skateboarding Association successfully organized the 8th National Skateboarding Championship 2025. The event was graced by the presence of the President of the Nepal Olympic Committee, Mr. Jeevan Ram Shrestha, the President of the Nepal Skating and Skateboarding Association, Achyut Khanal, and the Association Advisor and Coach, Dilip Raj Baral, who distributed cash prizes, medals, and certificates to the winners.

During the award ceremony, NOC President Shrestha highlighted that as a member of the Nepal Olympic Committee, athletes from the Nepal Skating and Skateboarding Association will now have the opportunity to compete at various national and international levels. The championship featured top talent from across the country, showcasing the high level of skateboarding in Nepal.

In the women’s open category, Khushi BK clinched first place, followed by Lemon Magar in second and Samiksha Rai in third. In the men’s open category, Gajendra Bardeva secured the top spot, with Sharad Rai and Basanta Rai taking second and third, respectively. In the men’s junior category, Abhishek Pariyar emerged victorious, while Ankit BK and Abinash Kumal placed second and third.

Prizes have also been set for this competition, with first place in the open categories receiving Rs. 25,000, second place Rs. 20,000, and third place Rs. 15,000. In the junior category, the top three were awarded Rs. 10,000, Rs. 5,000, and Rs. 3,000 respectively.

The successful hosting of this year’s championship not only demonstrated the high level of skill among Nepalese skateboarders but also provided them with a broader international platform.
