This prestigious event will take place from October 10 to 13, 2025, at the Ecological Leisure and Fitness Park in Karamay, Xinjiang, China. It promises to be an exceptional platform for athletes from across Asia and Belt and Road partner countries to compete, exchange skills, and promote the spirit of international friendship and sportsmanship.

The competition will feature a range of speed roller skating events across multiple age categories, designed to cater to both elite and developing skaters. We encourage all our members and partner nations to seize this valuable opportunity to showcase talent, strengthen ties, and contribute to the growth of roller sports in the region.

Terms, Rules, and Regulations of the 2025 “Belt and Road” China-ASEAN Speed Roller Skating City Invitational

I. Date and Venue

The 2025 “Belt and Road” China-ASEAN Speed Roller Skating City Invitational will be held from October 10 to 13, 2025 at the Ecological Leisure and Fitness Park in Karamay, Xinjiang, China.

1．Registration: October 10, 2025

2．Competition: October 11-12, 2025

3．Departure: October 13, 2025

II. Organizational Structure

Organized by: Social Sports Guidance Center of General Administration of Sport of China, China Roller Skate Association

Hosted by: Karamay Municipal Bureau of Culture, Sports, Radio, Television and Tourism

Participating countries and regions: roller skating associations from ASEAN countries and regions under the World Skate Asia Confederation; skating organizations in Belt and Road partner countries; national and regional roller skating associations and groups that maintain close communication with the World Skate Asia Confederation; roller skate associations from Chinese provinces, autonomous regions, municipalities directly under the central government, and municipality with independent planning status; sports offices of various industry associations; roller sports management departments in sports universities; training bases of the China Roller Skate Association as well as other related organizations.

III. Venue Specifications

The competition will be held on a 200-meter circumference international standard speed roller skating track, featuring a professionally coated surface and appropriately banked curves.

IV. Details for Registration

All participating teams or athletes must submit scanned electronic copies of the completed registration form and required documents to the designated email address 1505532344@qq.com by 24:00 on September 30, 2025. Registration flows: Please compile all the required materials for online review into a single folder, clearly labeled with the team name, leader’s name and telephone number, and then send it to the email address mentioned above for registration. Required documents for online review include:

1．Completed registration form (electronic version);

2．Valid identification: passport, residence permit for Taiwan residents of the People’s Republic of China, or residence permit for Hong Kong and Macao residents of the People’s Republic of China;

3．Insurance policy document specially obtained for this event;

4．Health certificate issued by a domestic hospital;

5．Signed letter of commitment (with participant’s signature).

1．Senior /Junior A/B (Male/Female): 500m+D Sprint, 1000m Sprint, 5000m Points, 3000m Relay

2．Youth A/B (Male/Female): 500m+D Sprint, 1000m Sprint, 5000m Points, 3000m Relay

3．Youth C (Male/Female): 200m Single-Lap Time Trial, 500m+D Sprint, 1000m Sprint, 3000m Relay

VII. Age Group

1．Senior: born before December 31, 2006;

2．Junior A: born between January 1, 2007 and December 31, 2008;

3．Junior B: born between January 1, 2009 and December 31, 2010;

4．Youth A: born between January 1, 2011 and December 31, 2012;

5．Youth B: born between January 1, 2013 and December 31, 2014;

6．Youth C: born between January 1, 2015 and December 31, 2016;

VIII. Competition Rules

1．The competition will be conducted in accordance with the latest edition of the Speed Roller Skating Rules and General Referees’ Rules approved by the China Roller Skate Association, including any newly amended provisions by World Skate.

2．All equipment, including protective gear and competition attire, must be approved by the China Roller Skate Association.

3．There is no restriction on the number of teams that each participating delegation may register, but each team must consist of 8 male and 8 female athletes. Individual entries are not accepted. Each team may register 1 team leader and 2 coaches.

4．Each athlete may only compete for one team and in one age group.

5．All participants must strictly adhere to the competition regulations and uphold the principles of fair and impartial competition throughout the event.

IX. Referees and Arbitration Committee

Technical officials shall be appointed by the host organization. The organizing committee will cover their accommodation, travel expenses, local transportation, and daily allowances for the duration from their official check-in until departure. Any shortfall in personnel will be supplemented by volunteer referees (must pre-register with the Secretariat of the China Roller Skate Association and hold at least Level 1 certification, with service recorded in their official referee portfolio) and local officials.

X. Ranking and Awarding Programme

1．The top eight finishers in each individual event of every category will receive awards. Gold, silver, and bronze medalists will be awarded medals, certificates, and prize money; places fourth to eighth will receive certificates.

2．For categories with fewer than eight participants/teams, awards shall be reduced by one. Events with fewer than three participants/teams will be canceled.

3．Outstanding Organization Award: A comprehensive ranking will be conducted based on the number of registered participants from each team, and plaques will be awarded accordingly.

4．Sportsmanship Award: Athletes and referees will be selected separately, with each group comprising 10% of the total participants.

5．Prize Money Breakdown: applicable only to individual events (relay events are not eligible for monetary awards)

Note: All prize money amounts are stated before tax. The organizing committee will deduct the applicable income taxes in accordance with the Chinese tax laws and regulations.

XI. Fees

1．No entry fee will be charged to teams from ASEAN member states for this event.

2．Accommodation, meals, and local transportation

(1) All teams and participants are responsible for their own traveling, meals, and accommodation expenses. (Accommodation will not be provided.) Should you require the organizer to arrange accommodation and meals, the cost is 260 RMB per person per day (self-covered).

XII. Visa

Visa applications for entry into China are the sole responsibility of each participant. It is strongly recommended to contact the Embassy or Consulate of the People’s Republic of China in your home country at the earliest opportunity to initiate the visa application process. Should you require supporting documents from the China Roller Skate Association for your visa application, please contact us in advance.

XIII. Additional Provisions

1．The event organizer reserves the right to use athletes’ images and videos without compensation for promotional activities aimed at advancing the development of roller skating.

2．Submission of the registration form and participation in the event shall be deemed acceptance of all provisions outlined in these regulations.

3．All copyrights for photographs, videos, and derivative works produced during the event belong to the event organizing committee. The committee retains the right to record the event, produce, and distribute promotional materials such as DVDs.

4．All team leaders shall provide comprehensive pre-competition safety briefings and sportsmanship education to their athletes, guaranteeing full implementation of safety protocols to ensure the physical well-being of all team members.

5．Any disputes arising during the event shall be submitted for arbitration to the China Commission of Arbitration for Sport in accordance with the law by the involved participants or relevant interested parties.

6．All participating teams and individuals are solely responsible for any medical expenses incurred due to injury or illness during the competition. It is strongly advised to purchase insurance in China prior to the event.

XIV. China Roller Skate Association holds the ultimate authority to interpret these regulations. Any matters not covered herein will be addressed through subsequent notifications.
